So the Corner Brook tour did go off after all.
When I was here for a week I didn’t care much for the place with no machine I walked all over which allowed me to see that the people here were much friendlier than those on the Avalon. I was constantly being asked in for a tea of drink. It was the first time away from Pouch Cove where the people did actually send the time to have a chat. While I was there looking for visual arts and book shops and pretty disappointed, I did start to like the evenings on the steps of the Bank of Montréal building over in Curling that was the studio and writing or reading watching the Humber.

The tour was couched into Baleful the intern needing art supplies, I took a long way to the art school at SWGC – Curling, the Paper Mill that

Imagine what could have happened…
Two CFA’s walked into Grenfell College School of Art without an ID being photographed and having to wear a badge. Not only was no one was called down to escort us through the building no security guards were to be seen any place and these intruders actually spoke to insiders without being escorted out of the building.

It is occurrences like that one is glad that one is guided by the manic paranoia of a mcnutso philosophy where there is a security camera every foot and a guard at every station

Perusing the buildings Epson instead of Canon printers were seen.

-They are the industry standard one poor sod said.

That kind of backwards thinking can and should get you fired, I thought and again I counted my lucky stars that down in the land of the free we are blessed not only with a dean of technology but one with vision when most lesser schools would consider that a nonsense title.

Back downtown to get our T-ho’s fix and then a quiet uneventful ride to Twillingate – well except the moment in Badger when Baleful the intern place her coffee mug on top of the machine to take a picture of a sign. The mug finally fell of in the intersection of the Trans Canada with the Buchans Highway.

Nice to have no drama, nice to find the place – Echos of the Ocean – without any problem and nice to finally cook a meal.
